Your First Check-in
Daily check-ins are Murmurd’s core workflow. Depending on your role and your team’s question setup, you may answer one prompt or several prompts for a team on a given day.
What You Will See
Murmurd builds your prompt list from the question set attached to your team:
- team questions first
- then division questions if the team has none
- then organization questions as the fallback
If you are a Team Leader or Team Manager, you can also receive leadership-only questions that regular team members do not see.
How to Submit a Check-in
In the Web App
- Open Check-ins.

- Answer the prompt or prompts shown for that team.
- Choose a visibility level.
- Submit.
From Slack
If your organization uses Slack, Murmurd can send a DM with quick actions:

Some organizations also enable reply-based Slack check-ins, so you can respond directly in the DM thread.
From Email
If Slack is not connected, check-in emails link back to the web app so you can respond there.
Visibility Options
- Team: visible to your team members
- Organization: visible across your organization
- Confidential: visible only to you and managers
Confidential check-ins are excluded from AI summary generation.
Helpful Extras
- Use
@mentionsin your response to notify teammates. - If you belong to more than one team, you can complete a separate check-in for each one.
- Murmurd keeps track of which prompts you already answered so you can finish a team’s remaining questions later in the day.
