Replace standups with 30-second check-ins
Murmurd gives product teams async visibility without the meeting overhead. Daily check-ins, intelligent escalations, and AI-powered weekly summaries.
Daily standups are broken
The same ritual, repeated every day, stealing time from actual work.
Timezone chaos
Finding a time that works across locations is impossible. Someone is always compromising.
Context switching
Meetings interrupt deep work and destroy flow states. That 15-minute standup costs an hour of focus.
Uneven participation
Some dominate the conversation while others stay silent. Written updates level the playing field.
Lost information
What was said yesterday? Last week? Nobody remembers, and nothing was captured.
There's a better way.
Async communication that actually works
Everything you need to replace meetings with meaningful updates.
30-second daily updates
Role-aware prompts help each team share progress without a standup. Murmurd supports web, email, and Slack delivery, plus skip, pause, and vacation controls when people are away.
What are you focused on today? You have 1 more leadership prompt.
Surface blockers to the right person
Report blockers with one command. Murmurd routes them through Team Leader, Team Manager, and Division Manager automatically, while skipping people who are paused or on vacation.
Accountability without micromanagement
Set a weekly priority for each team you work with, get a Monday reminder, and close the loop on Friday with a clear outcome: Completed, Shifted, or Dropped.
Intelligence, not noise
Friday Snapshot and Monday Weekstarter turn check-ins, priorities, and escalations into something leadership can actually scan. Confidential items stay out of the AI flow.
- • API v2 migration completed ahead of schedule
- • 2 blockers resolved this week
- • Team velocity up 15% from last week

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about Murmurd.
Most teams can create an organization, set up teams, and invite users in a short first session. New organizations start on a 14-day Pro trial, so you can connect Slack and review summaries before deciding on a paid plan.
Murmurd can nudge them on the next prompt, and repeated misses can alert leadership after several days. Users can also skip for the day, pause reminders for a short period, or switch on vacation mode when they're away.
On Pro and Enterprise, Murmurd generates a Friday Snapshot for Monday to Thursday activity and a Monday Weekstarter for the full previous week. The summary combines check-ins, priorities, escalations, and team stats while excluding confidential content.
The summary generation flow is explicitly instructed not to include individual names in the AI-generated narrative, and confidential items are removed from the AI input before summary generation runs.
Yes. Murmurd works through the web app and email on every plan. Slack adds DM delivery, slash commands, and digests, but it is optional.
Murmurd does not read employee-to-employee direct messages or channel history. It only processes direct messages sent to the Murmurd bot so users can reply to Murmurd check-ins in Slack.
Escalations route through Team Leader, then Team Manager, then Division Manager. Routing is vacation-aware and pause-aware, so Murmurd skips unavailable people instead of sending the blocker into a dead end.
Murmurd encrypts stored Slack, SSO, and custom AI secrets, hashes SCIM tokens, verifies signed Slack and Stripe requests, rate-limits authentication flows, and excludes confidential content from AI summaries.
